Traditional Jewelry from Panchaloha & Navagraha – A Holistic Approach to Balance and Wellbeing
Within the Rajaveda approach we integrate insights from Ayurveda and Siddha, in which the human body is seen as a reflection of nature: made up of the five elements and influenced by the nine celestial bodies (Navagraha). According to these traditions, jewelry made of precious metals and gemstones can help to support inner balance – physically, mentally and energetically.
What is Panchaloha and Navagraha Jewelry?
Panchaloha literally means “five metals” – a traditional blend of gold, silver, copper, iron and zinc (or lead/tin) used in Indian spiritual work and healing.
Navagraha refers to the nine planets/forces that influence human life according to Vedic astrology.
Jewelry incorporating these metals and associated gemstones is traditionally used:
- to support balance between body, mind and environment,
- as an aid in meditation or spiritual practice,
- for strengthening personal energy fields.
Traditional uses (as recognized in Ayurveda/Siddha):
Gold: strength, heart energy, cell regeneration (according to Swarna Bhasma tradition)
Silver: cooling, soothing, connected to the moon
Copper: cleansing, energy enhancing
Navaratna (the 9 gemstones): each planet has a corresponding stone that has an energetic effect on body and mind
> Please note: these properties are based on traditional knowledge. There is currently limited or no scientific evidence for these effects.
